I had been told to give myself plenty of time as checking in took so long that some people had been known to miss their flights. So I got to the airport at 6am, three hours before my flight - and was through all the checks within 20 minutes - with friendly staff putting me right... so different from the London airports! So I had plenty of time to have a beautifully cooked breakfast of haggis and poached eggs while looking out to see the new Forth Road Bridge visible over the trees. Best experience of an airport ever. So pleased I've come to live in Edinburgh!
