Edinburgh Airport is a nice airport to wait at due to the bright departure lounges with lots of natural light where you can look out and see what's happening. There are plenty of amenities and lots os shops if that is what you want. Mostly I just like to sit and read and watch the aircraft activity on the aprons and the runway and there is always places to go at Edinburgh where you can easily do this. I travel frequently from other Scottish and UK airports and Edinburgh provides one of the best customer experiences.
