“I do wish there was a facility to give ZERO stars as this dreadful airport does not even deserve 1 star! Every time I have to use EDI I hope it has somehow improved by magic. I’m always disappointed. The whole airport is dirty and a terrible embarrassment - is this really Scotland’s capital city. The walk down the stairs from the plane is only the start of the ordeal as the arrivals hall/passport control is yet to come. It’s a sorry sight to see families with children and elderly people navigate their passage through that concertina. What an end to a holiday! I hate to think what travellers from other countries think of this airport and their introduction to Edinburgh. One can’t help but compare it with airports around the world. They are all busy, and some much busier than Edinburgh, but they are 100% cleaner and more pleasant to pass through. Our baggage at least arrived fairly quickly so maybe that’s a plus. We had to visit a cafe whilst waiting for our bus and there are improvements there. The surrounding waiting area leave everything to be desired and the toilets are amoungst the worst I have every seen. The ladies was dreadful and I’m led to believe that the gents was worse. We left from this airport too and check-in is also dirty and in need of a good makeover. Of course it’s better when you get to the departure/retail area as that is where the money is made.”

“Absolute disgrace a national embarrassment,airport dirty and unkept been waiting for a passenger who landed 2hrs ago now and they are still waiting for their luggage ,no staff everybody invisible total and utter shambles of an airport ,giving up on the parking now as I've already spent about £50 waiting ,off to try and find somewhere to sit on the merry go round ,what must visitors arriving think off this country laughing stock 😭😭😭”

“The parking is expensive and badly signed. The airport facilities are poor. There are two badly signed posted international arrivals and the baggage handling is extremely poor. All in all it is a disgrace.”

“Can I just say thank you for the service provided by OCS and their wheelchair guys and gals. What a friendly, positive and helpful Team at Edi, I can't fault the service I received as a Disabled passenger. On my return Alc-Edi I met Gary and Adam for the second time, and Liam. Guys you were brilliant, all of we wheelchair pax were treated so well, nothing was too much trouble. I'm so grateful for their hard work to ensure that we are able to travel, as without their assistance it would be impossible. Please can you pass on our gratitude.”

“Baggage took forever to arrive and the baggage claim hall is a disgrace....it's like a warehouse....cold, messy and very unwelcoming. What must tourists think ?”

“I arrived from Belfast on a EastJet flight, I recently had a total knee replacement and hadn’t climbed stairs since. I asked if there was a lift I could use and I was told there wasn’t. I was left with no alternative but to use the stairs. A very rude member of staff asked why I hadn’t book assist, I wasn’t aware there was no lift . My weekend was ruined as my knee was so swollen and painful . I was very upset by the lack of empathy and support by the ground staff ,”

“Flew from Edinburgh on Easter Sunday. The airport was very grubby. The bins at gate 6 were full to overflowing and had been like that for quite a few hours. The airport was very cold. I have not flown from Edinburgh in quite a while and don’t think I will book a flight from there anytime soon”

“We flew out of Edinburgh a few weeks ago and both needed Special Assistance so we were met by OCS, we both needed wheelchairs . From first call, we were collected taken to Jet2 check in, through the Airport and handed on to the excellent, cheerful and so very helpful Ambilift Staff and Drivers. Nothing was too much trouble, despite there being quite a few people needing assistance. They could not have treated us better, thank you OCS for a great start to our holiday.”

“Arrived late on a Jet2 flight and AS USUAL Edinburgh Airport had no steps to disembark the plane nor any buses to transport passengers to the terminal. This has happened to me every time I land at Edinburgh. It's absolutely hopeless.”

“I just wanted to say the lady from special assistance at Edinburgh Airport was fantastic she was there waiting for me to get off the plane made me feel so relaxed chatted away to me and my family she is absolutely amazing at her job and I can’t thank her enough”

“On arrival back to the UK , the usual climb up a narrow staircase, then descend down into a crowded cramped arrival area. Only Spotted two members of staff controlling. We were herded backwards and forwards through a zigzag to passport control, which took forever. The airport looks tired and grubby and desperate need of money spending on it. The usual long wait for our baggage to arrive and now you have to pay £2 to use a trolley! What a welcome to Edinburgh- shameful and embarrassing”
