Ha ha you assume a three-five star review is "what made you happy" thinking you are missing the point. One star can have good points as well as bad and vice versa for a five star. Parking is a complete rip off, the private hire rank is a disgrace, the airport is overcrowded and busing people to far side of the airport is not acceptable. The road in is a total shambles and too many things f your airlines announce boarding or even final call when they don't start boarding for another ten mins.

Edinburgh Airport is highly organized, efficient, pleasant, and everyone who works there is very helpful. The shops and restaurants are very high quality. The airport was clean. We moved through security very quickly due to the efficiency of the staff and security system. I highly recommend this airport.

I booked to go fast track through security due to timings of my flight, and it is exactly as it says it is. Staff are pleasant and do an excellent job of keeping you right during the process

Transferring from EasyJet to Logan was not at all easy, the bag drop was not intuitive and most staff at desks etc. were disinclined to offer much help.

I like Edinburgh Airport a lot. The stuff was very helpful. I also love that sign in Scots about Haste ye back! :) There should be more signs like that.

I wouldn't say it made me happy, there were no major issues however there a few things that could be improved.

I use the airport a lot and normally it would rate as Acceptable. Yesterday I arrived for an early flight to find absolute pandemonium. The queues for Security filled the departures hall. This continued for almost an hour after I arrived. There were no announcements. The airlines knew nothing. I missed my flight, despite having arrived on time. Completely unprofessional conduct. And the reason the airport ranks only as acceptable normally is because it does everything possible to wring out as much money as possible from its customers, very obviously relegating non-business customers who are not paying large parking fees (for example) to a distinctly second class experience. I travel a lot for business and I am constantly shocked at how venal the airport is. Staff are always helpful, but air travel really doesn't have to feel like it is cheating the customers.

On Sunday, 14th May, we boarded our EasyJet flight to Amsterdam and sat on the plane for over an hour. We then had to vacate the plane and leave the airport, come back in again and go through security for a 2nd time as there had been a security breach at the airport. This resulted in an almost 3 hour delay to our journey. We should have arrived in Amsterdam at 10.15 but it was 2am by the time we arrived. At that time public transport was scare and my friend and I paid 140 euros between us for taxis home. I understand that security must be taken very seriously especially in these times and am always willing to cooperate and am happy to see that protocols are being observed for our safety. I'm just not sure exactly what went wrong and would appreciate an explanation just for my understanding of why this happened. Best regards, Anne McGuigan
