I worked in Edinburgh airport 4 years ago for Menzies aviation and was impressed with the changes in the airport since then

Bag drop was quick, security was quiet and therefor quick, prices are a bit high at the food outlets but that's the same at all airports. Please provide a water fountain for filling up empty water bottles. I consider your parking charges are outrageously high even for collecting someone.

It's my local airport. Glasgow the next nearest is more difficult for me to get to.

The signposts for check in were not clear. Checking through the hand luggage was nothing short of chaos. Too many people trying to get access at the same time.

1. congestion on approach road is unacceptable. 2. security queues are unacceptably long. Especially when not all lanes are open or not all the 'offload points' in each lane are open. 3. quantity/quality of toilets is poor.

It was comfortable in any way, only a bit delay with our flight. This delay is not accountable for the airport, but for the flight association.

The security arrangements are somuch better, safe but quick and well manned, takes a huge stress out of transit

There is nothing better than contacting your love ones once you arrive. I always connect to airport wifi while I wait by the bags line.

We always fly from Edinburgh as its close to Stirling, the parking in long stay is excellent. The airport is bright and spacious with lots of happy friendly staff to help or guide you. Witherspoon however is very over priced and not very good.

The parking was simple and affordable. Followed by thorough but efficient security and the staff in the No 1 lounge were very helpful and it was the most relaxing airport experience especially when travelling alone!

Security hall was very very busy and not a particularly pleasant experience on outward journey. Passport control similar on return. Bus from plane (easyJet) to terminal was absolutely packed, no ventilation, very slow and stationary at times, limited seating. Probably 15 minutes journey plus. Feeling faint by end, now have chest virus - possibly due to unventilated and tightly packed bus.

Transport links to the Airport are good. The Check In Area is easy to use with good signage. The Departure area has a good variety of Coffee Areas, Bar and Restaurants to suit most needs. The Shops are ok to browse.

the people at security belts could be a little more polite

Dropped off by taxi and found it confusing to make our way to terminal. I fly through various airports about 8 times per year and don't normally have this problem. Ended up having to walk on a roadway. Screens indicating check-in desks are small and not immediately obvious. On our return we had to wait 40 minutes for our baggage to appear on the belt. No one provided an explanation/update or apology. By contrast, immigration/passport facility was very efficient. I'm Scottish but I felt anyone visiting this country would find the arrival facilities dingy
