There was enough signs around to guide you to where you had to go. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I managed to get a seat but some people were standing waiting at various areas.

Had some food at the seafood bar we were served by a very nice lady and we were not ripped off as it sometimes happens at airports .

My wife & I were scheduled to fly out of Edinburgh Airport on 1st May, 2017 for Dublin IRE. During the process of self checking our bags in, the machine stopped. By the time we found someone and tried to get help, we were informed that the cut off time for self checking of bags happened just after we started. The lady on the Service counter for Ryanair tried to get us on the flight but to no avail. We were told to go around to Swissair and book another flight which was leaving for Dublin after lunch. Not only did it cost us 100 pound for each ticket to be rebooked, it triggered me into an Anxiety attack. I suffer Chronic PTSD from my military service in the Australian Army. For the next couple of days I was on edge. Even when going through Customs later that day, I was that triggered from the experience in the morning that I sweated profusely all day. It is pretty poor by anyone's standards when an ex-member of the Military of a British Commonwealth country or any country for that matter to be treated the way I was not to mention the 200 pound fee I was charged to reschedule the flights for my wife and I. It is also a strain on her as she had to put up with my mental health issues for all of our married life. This trip was to be a special trip for us as it is for for 40th Wedding Anniversary.

I was shopping in duty free and was assisted by Nach. He was delightful, carried my basket, helped me make my purchases and ensured he couldn't do anymore for me. I was very impressed, he is an asset please pass my thanks to him.

The airport was cozy and everything was easy to find. I had never been to Edinburgh and was travelling alone. Airlink made getting to my destination extremely easy and travelling around Scotland was a bliss. I owe that bliss to WiFi that was almost everywhere thanks to which I could talk to my friends and family at any given time. To be completely honest, travelling to Scotland was a breath of fresh air, I have been to many airports and many countries, but have yet to see another as great as the one I visited. My most sincere thank you!

Security is a farce. Travel through every week and you are going backwards with security. Access roads need sorted - sitting in a traffic jam at 5.30am is ridiculous!

What's with the parking system, cars are parking on the approach roads, Parking fees that seem to ratchet up pretty fast. Hire Car drop off and pick-up within the dedicated pick-up area. passengers looking for taxis wandering all over the drop off area, lost and confused. Cars staying in the drop off bays, such that passengers are alight on the centre of the road. PS I'm a taxi driver from St Andrews doing regular drop off and pick-ups..... big piss off is your police moving taxi drivers away from the only flight information board at the coach park. would be nice if app said "baggage at Carcelle" which is my trigger to go to the pick-up area - that gets me in and out quicker so cheaper for me and more cars through for you

Edinburgh Airport is small and accessible. They have convenient parking and convenient places to get taxis and rides. Very friendly city, and a nice place to visi.

Happy is a misnomer. The airport is simply a means to an end getting from A to B. Security experience was supposed to get better when the new Hall opened. Far from it. I also object to being forced to make a lengthy walk through the duty free area when I simply want to get airside quickly.
